Los embriones en el quiste se desarrollan hasta la etapa de g\u00e1strula, un punto en el que alcanzan las 4.000 c\u00e9lulas cuyo desarrollo se ha detenido al reducir en gran medida el metabolismo del embri\u00f3n a casi un nivel cercano a cero (los bi\u00f3logos llaman a esto \"diapausa\"). Esta es la etapa en la que pueden recolectarse, procesarse, acondicionarse y almacenarse como organismos vivos inactivos o inactivos, listos para ser utilizados como alimento en criaderos o laboratorios de peces y crust\u00e1ceos. Tomar\u00e1n agua, comenzar\u00e1n a metabolizar y convertir\u00e1n sus reservas de carbohidratos, aumentando eventualmente la presi\u00f3n osm\u00f3tica dentro del quiste hasta el punto en que la c\u00e1scara del quiste estalla y el nauplio a\u00fan encerrado en la membrana de eclosi\u00f3n (tambi\u00e9n llamado etapa paraguas) se libera de la c\u00e1scara del quiste. Dentro de la membrana de eclosi\u00f3n se puede ver el nauplio moviendo sus ap\u00e9ndices.<\/p>\n<p>En las pr\u00f3ximas horas, la enzima de eclosi\u00f3n se secreta en la regi\u00f3n de la cabeza del nauplio y se libera el nauplio en el estadio I de nataci\u00f3n libre. Varios elementos juegan un papel crucial en este delicado proceso, que los profesionales de la acuicultura deben imitar para incubar de manera \u00f3ptima los quistes de Artemia.<\/p>\n<p>La presencia de conchas y quistes de Artemia no eclosionados en la alimentaci\u00f3n viva implica varios
