Tradicionalmente se utilizan productos qu\u00edmicos para descapsular los quistes de Artemia para obtener embriones libres. Sin embargo, esta t\u00e9cnica es considerada peligrosa para los trabajadores, da\u00f1ina para el medio ambiente y, como el uso de qu\u00edmicos afecta la calidad de la Artemia, tambi\u00e9n tiene un impacto negativo sobre la relaci\u00f3n costo-beneficio.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-986f202 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"986f202\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-e34fe56\" data-id=\"e34fe56\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-aa195cf elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"aa195cf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Romper con la tradici\u00f3n<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d426875 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d426875\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>La Artemia es el alimento vivo para larvas m\u00e1s utilizado en laboratorios de cr\u00eda de peces y camarones. Debido a su tama\u00f1o son presas adecuadas, son muy nutritivas y estimulan la depredaci\u00f3n de alimento en peces y crust\u00e1ceos. Adem\u00e1s, los nauplios de Artemia pueden ser enriquecidos con nutrientes que mejoran su perfil nutricional. Sin embargo, antes de la eclosi\u00f3n la Artemia est\u00e1 confinada dentro de una c\u00e1psula r\u00edgida (cori\u00f3n). Por un lado, esto implica que los quistes de Artemia puedan ser almacenados indefinidamente y cosechados como nauplios vivos cuando sea conveniente. Por otro lado, el cori\u00f3n del quiste no es digerible, por lo que debe ser retirado antes de ofrecer el nauplio como alimento vivo a las larvas en cultivo. Esta remoci\u00f3n es un desaf\u00edo, incluso para los productores actualmente y estas pr\u00e1cticas pueden comprometer el bienestar humano y generar un problema medioambiental.<\/p><p>La t\u00e9cnica habitual para descapsular los quistes de Artemia es un proceso qu\u00edmico usando hipoclorito <em>(Figura 1)<\/em>Los quistes SEP-Art son revestidos con una capa no t\u00f3xica de material magn\u00e9tico, que no afecta las caracter\u00edsticas de eclosi\u00f3n globales de los cistos. La herramienta de separaci\u00f3n SEP-Art usa imanes que s\u00f3lo atraen los quistes y c\u00e1psulas vac\u00edas, liberando los nauplios de Artemia en el proceso. Answering to these needs INVE (Benchmark Advanced Nutrition) developed the SEP-Art\u00ae technology. This technology separates nauplii from their cysts using magnetism <em>(Figura 1)<\/em>. SEP-Art\u00ae cysts are coated with a non-toxic layer of magnetic material that does not affect the overall hatching characteristics of the cysts. The SEP-Art\u00ae separation tool uses magnets that solely attract the cysts and empty shells, freeing the Artemia nauplii during the process. Once the cysts attach to the magnets, they can be removed easily from the Artemia nauplii suspension.<\/p><p>This allows the harvest of more and better quality Artemia nauplii in less time. Opposed to the traditional methods, SEP-Art\u00ae does not compromise the vitality of the nauplii as it does not employ physical force or a chemical reaction. Furthermore, it maximizes the recovery of the hatching output and speeds up the harvest and collection of the nauplii, making it more efficient. Compared to decapsulation, SEP-Art\u00ae tools are intuitive and easy to use, and, hence, accessible to untrained workers. The process does not produce chemical waste, making it more sustainable to the environment even at large scale.
